Seeing Red

LOCATION:

LOS ANGELES

I started looking at red about a year ago when I experimented with the lights in the evenings as a way to help and preserve vision. On the one hand, it’s difficult to see “normally” when everything is already dark in a glass house at night, and the main source of light is red. But on the other, what I do see when I look outside are reflections that become translucent and shift tonally — sometimes to pinks and are juxtaposed against shades of milky blues, sparkling lights, crisp blacks.
